The Great Outdoors: Camp Style Bat Mitzvah

Walking into the ballroom of the Hilton in Northbrook, IL was like stepping into a campsite deep within the woods. This special thirteen year old celebrated her Bat Mitzvah with a camp theme, complete with tree trunk center pieces with little wooden cabins perched atop of them. Affixed to the wood cabins were creative and fun balloon arrangements in turquoise and brown; this young ladies chosen colors for the evening. To top off the tables were endless varieties of candy for the kids to snack on throughout the evening.

Adjoining the main ballroom was a smaller, quaint cocktail room that was converted into a forest. Trees were arranged as if to portray the outdoors and guests were able to have their pictures taken by Tell Draper, Professional Photographer. The adults gathered here enjoying cocktails and appetizers while the kids sipped on their Shirley Temple’s, danced and got the party going next door.

As kids entered the ballroom and took their seats, they were given a pair of socks, Chicago Cubs in theme, and most of the girls wasted no time kicking their shoes off and slipping into the cozy pair of socks to slip and slide around the dance floor. Music and entertainment was provided by Bizar Entertainment, who got the speeches rolling, the kids dancing and games participated in.

Highlights for the kids were specially designed t-shirts with the event printed on them, umbrella hats for certain songs played by the DJ and of course the Photo Booth, provided by Photo Booth Expressout of Schaumburg. The kids kept the booth busy with limitless pictures of themselves with friends and in varying props provided by the Photo Booth like boas, wigs and funky sunglasses. The adults joined in the Photo Booth fun and took many pictures with the guest of honor and her family.

The fun, festive and perfectly tasteful event was coordinated by Partie Girl Inc. and all action during the event was captured by Providence Productions.
