"Go Fighting Illini" themed High School Graduation Party

As guests arrived at the Bloomingdale Golf Club, it was a sea of orange and blue. Meg, the newly graduated high school student, was sporting her future college bound-self  in the colors of the University of Illinois.

Tables inside the reception room were also decorated in blue and orange including carnation floral centerpieces and linens. A table was available for viewing that hosted pictures of Meg throughout her life including her high graduation pictures and pictures of the various activities she participated in.

Guests were encouraged to attend the party casual, but more importantly supporting their favorite college or college that their children attended. This added a fun  “college” theme to the atmosphere. A BBQ style buffet was provided including hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries that were grilled up fresh, just outside on the patio.

Following dinner a lovely power point presentation was shown created by Meg’s sister chronicling Meg’s life and the love and pride of her family towards her. Meg also gave her guests a treat by playing her musical instrument that she will be taking with her to college to play with the Fighting Illini Marching Band.

Music was provided by Tim and Brian Layer of DJ Smooth Crew. They kept the music going and teens on the dance floor for most of the evening.

A wonderful addition to this party was the photo booth provided by Photo Booth Express out of Schaumburg. Meg and her friends, as well as family members, had fun piling in the booth together and taking pictures to remember the evening before parting company and taking to separate ways for college. A scrapbook was also provided and housed copies of all photos taken and loving and encouraging notes written by friends and family.

Good luck at University of Illinois Meg!
