Alice in Wonderland: Whimsical Bat Mitzvah for Jessica at Holiday Inn Express in Palatine

Stepping out from the elevators onto the second floor of the Holiday Inn Express in Palatine you knew you were in for a treat. Greeting you was a table holding small square white boxes with a variety of different colored gerber daisies glued on top. Written on each of them were Jessica’s guests names and seat assignments in the “wonderland” created inside the banquet room just steps away.

Once stepping into the “wonderland,” guests found their way to their tables that each hosted a fresh grass centerpiece that either had Alice, the cheshire cat or mad hatter sitting amongst the grass and in-between long stemmed and brightly colored gerber daisies. Bright aqua blue, pink and lime green table clothes lied beneath the table settings and added to flare to the “Alice and Wonderland” themed atmosphere.

From the initial introduction of Jessica, to family speeches and then dance routines, Platinum Events provided high energy moves to the pop music crowd shaking it up on the dance floor.

An added element to the party was the photo booth, provided by Photo Booth Express out of Schaumburg. Donning a bright pink curtain to blend in with the theme colors, and providing various props such as hats, boas and sunglasses, friends and family of Jessica enjoyed taking pictures all throughout the event. All pictures were pasted into Jessica’s scrapbook and were accompanied by special notes proclaiming love and support of Jessica’s Bat Mitzvah.

Yudi Rine of Rine Photographics did a fantastic job of capturing all of the parties special moments. His energy and enthusiasm was a perfect match for the guests. All pictures taken will be available online in the weeks to come by going to www.rinepphoto.com.

The party concluded with a bang as guests were able to help themselves to a table filled with various candies, playing cards, and other tokens of fun themed from Alice in Wonderland. Kids scooped up suckers, ring pops, and large gumballs as they made their way out the door.

Congratulations Jessica on your Bat Mitzvah and Mom Jennifer for a fantastic celebration!
